If you are a member of the physical therapy community or just an interested patient trying to take a proactive stand in regards to your own health, reading and subscribing to a few of the sports physical therapy journals can be incredibly informative. Depending on the publication, you can find information regarding the latest treatment options, specialty topics like pediatrics, and orthopedics. There are several excellent publications to choose from to learn more about your physical therapy interest. Here are a few of the sports physical therapy journals that get a lot of attention.

This magazine comes out each month with new ways to better serve patients and makes a difference in the health of others. It is also the official journal of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. Especially if your focus is orthopedics in your practice, this periodical would be a great addition to your reading material.
Another fantastic magazine for the sports physical therapist to consider taking a look at is the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation. This one is dedicated to reporting the latest research that pertains to sports related injuries. All patient case studies regardless of age, fitness level, and gender find their way onto its' pages. This is the go to magazine for getting your patients back on the road to good health and full use of their bodies.
With all of the great and informative reading available, there has never been a better time to explore the options of the sports physical therapy journals. Just about every specialty is covered by magazine or another. You and your patients deserve every advantage in treatment care and rehabilitation options.
