Clomid and Back Pain – Front to Back
from:Clomid and back pain are not directly related according to the list of side effects. But there are other side effects of Clomid that can lead to back pain, so it really depends on how you want to view the situation.
Clomid is a drug taken by women who do not ovulate properly but want to get pregnant. The drug is only given to women who are not pregnant yet. It is a complicated medication that stimulates hormones through a number of processes. Like any medication, it has a long list of possible side effects and they include abnormal uterine bleeding, abdominal pain and bloating.
There are two ways Clomid and back pain are linked. The first one is the result of the increase in progesterone which is a hormone. When a woman takes Clomid and becomes pregnant, progesterone is produced. This hormone softens the ligaments and other tissue so the body is able to handle the demands of pregnancy. When the abdomen and pelvic ligaments soften, the back does not have as much support and this can lead to back pain.
The second connection between Clomid and back pain is due to the side effects that produce abdominal pain. Abdominal pain can feel like back pain. Some women taking Clomid report they develop lower back pain on one side. Abdominal pain can also indicate a more serious problem has developed and should always be reported to the doctor.
Knowing Clomid and back pain are sometimes connected, even if indirectly, doesn’t stop women from taking the medication. Having difficulty getting pregnant can be discouraging and Clomid has worked for many women. If you do take the drug, you should be aware of the many side effects to watch for and that includes abdominal and back pain.
Even if you take Clomid and back pain develops, you can follow a program of exercise to reduce or eliminate the pain. By strengthening the back muscles and achieving good tone, the odds of experiencing back pain can be greatly reduced. In fact, odds are that when you report back pain to the doctor, he or she will recommend a set of exercises you can do to relieve the pain in specific areas.
Clomid and back pain are not directly connected through side effect listings, but other side effects can result in back pain. So if you are taking Clomid, just be aware of the changes going on in your body. That way you can compensate for the ones like back pain that can be specifically addressed.
